Soviet Union Red Army WW2 Medal for the Defence of the CaucasusGenuine Soviet medal commemorates WW2 with original brass pentagon top part and new ribbon; some bits of rust at the back. The medal was in a soda solution to remove rust as much as possible, then polished with GOI paste. Full size: 8. 6 x 3. 7 cm, weight: 28g. The medal was a 32 mm diameter circular brass medal with a raised rim. Secured by a ring through the medal suspension loop to a standard Soviet pentagonal mount covered by a 24mm wide silk
