In order to prevent galvanic corrosion between stainless and aluminium, the fitting shall be lacquered on the inside to insulate it from the mast. Any other kind of insulation, such as a thin plastic layer, will do just as well. Use only for rope halyard (not wire). Monel pop rivets art. no.
