Great book
Format: Paperback
I worked in a setting where I was the only nurse for hundreds of inmates in a Max prison. I used this book to assist me in providing care to patients with their emergencies. It helped me decide how to handle situations where I had to intelligently explain a medical issue to a on call MD or chart in a correct manner. This was my own personal book and glad to have it. I believe I initially found the title from a ER MD who recommended it. This is the updated copy, I gave my old copy to a non medical neighbor who found it useful.

Excellent

This book is a must have for ER or urgent care. I work in an emergency medicine and can treat septic shock in my sleep but there all kinds of things not that serious that still come in. Some excellent procedural tips.
Have given copies to students.

I'm a PA and work in Immediate care, this is a great reference book for procedures! Especially those that you don't do daily and need a refresher on before proceeding. I would highly recommend - it is well written, thorough, and covers procedural skills as well as treatments and different options to consider.
